Can you say CABLES! CABLES! CABLES! 

Oh yes this is a big one!  I have written a general list of cables you want to buy (some are going to be extra for emergencies ) also included are a adapter and parts list... You can never be too prepared!

Cables:

1.  RCA ( composite / analog) Audio Cables -  You are probably going to want (2) 3 ft cables (2) 6ft cables and (2) 12 ft cables

2.  1/8th inch mini plug cable -  You are going to want (2) 6ft cables

3.  1/4 inch plug cables - I would recommend get (2) 6ft cables and (2) 24ft cables

4.  Mic cables - depending on what you are using I would recommend a 12ft cable with extensions

Adapters and More:

1.  RCA coupler - get (2) of these!

2  1/8th inch (mono) to RCA plug adapter - Get at least (2) of these!

3.  1/4 inch (mono) to RCA plug adapter - get a good few of these!

4.  1/4 inch (stereo)to RCA plug adapter - get a couple of these.

5.  1/8th in (stereo) to 2 rca adapter - get a bunch of these for sure!

6.  Headphones - get a really quality set of headphones!- they will get used alot!

7.  Power Strip w/ surge protection -  You will have a lot of stuff to plug in to!  Don't leave this one at home!

8.  Microphone - get a good one! Save on expenses later!

These are just some basic examples.  You will need more or less of these depending on need and finances.  Be sure to get the male or female versions of each adapter as needed.  These products can be found at any local Radioshack or Guitar Center Retailer.  I recomend using Monster Cables for most of these, they are good quality and the price is somewhat reasonable too!
